Archiving Policy
Digital Preservation Commitment
Journal of Arabic EdTech (JAET) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published content. The journal implements digital archiving strategies to safeguard scholarly articles against data loss, technological obsolescence, and system failures. JAET recognizes the importance of permanent scholarly records and adopts preservation mechanisms aligned with international best practices in academic publishing.
Primary Archiving System
JAET utilizes its journal management system (Open Journal Systems – OJS) to maintain secure digital storage of all published articles, including metadata, full-text files, and supplementary materials. All articles are stored in multiple secure server environments with regular system backups to ensure data redundancy and reliability.
Institutional and Repository Archiving
In addition to journal-level preservation, authors are encouraged to deposit the final published version of their articles in: Institutional repositories National digital libraries Subject-based repositories Personal academic websites Such deposits must clearly acknowledge JAET as the original source of publication and include the official DOI.
Persistent Identifiers
Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), ensuring persistent identification and stable linking. DOI registration enhances long-term discoverability and interoperability across indexing and abstracting systems.
Future Archiving Strategy
JAET is committed to expanding its digital preservation strategy by participating in recognized archiving and preservation initiatives, including LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), CLOCKSS, or similar trusted digital preservation networks when available. This long-term strategy ensures that journal content remains accessible even in the event of system migration, publisher changes, or unexpected service disruptions.
Version Control and Record Integrity
JAET maintains the integrity of the scholarly record by clearly documenting any post-publication updates, corrections, or retractions. Updated versions, if applicable, remain permanently linked to the original DOI record to ensure transparency and citation consistency.
Commitment to Sustainability
Through structured archiving practices and digital preservation planning, JAET ensures sustainable access to scholarly knowledge for future generations of researchers, educators, and institutions worldwide.
