Journal of Arabic EdTech (JAET) is committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and reliability of the scholarly record. When errors, ethical concerns, or research misconduct are identified, the journal takes appropriate corrective actions in accordance with international best practices in academic publishing.

1. Corrections

A correction may be issued when a published article contains minor errors that do not invalidate the overall findings or conclusions of the research. Examples include:

• Typographical errors affecting clarity
• Minor data presentation inaccuracies
• Incorrect author affiliations
• Formatting or citation errors

Corrections will be clearly labeled and permanently linked to the original article and DOI to ensure transparency.

2. Major Corrections

If substantial errors are identified that affect interpretation but do not invalidate the study, a formal correction notice (corrigendum or erratum) will be published. The corrected version will remain transparently connected to the original publication record.

3. Retractions

A retraction may be issued when a published article is found to contain serious ethical violations or significant flaws that invalidate the research findings. Grounds for retraction may include:

• Plagiarism or duplicate publication
• Data fabrication or falsification
• Serious methodological errors
• Unethical research practices
• Undisclosed conflicts of interest affecting research validity

Retraction notices will:

• Be clearly labeled as “Retraction”
• State the reason for retraction
• Remain permanently accessible
• Be linked to the original article and DOI

The original article will remain accessible but will be clearly marked as retracted to preserve the scholarly record.

4. Expression of Concern

In cases where concerns are raised but investigations are ongoing, JAET may issue an Expression of Concern. This notice informs readers of potential issues while a formal review is conducted.

5. Investigation Procedure

When potential misconduct or serious errors are reported, JAET will:

1. Conduct a preliminary assessment of the allegation.
2. Request clarification from the authors.
3. Consult editorial board members or external experts if necessary.
4. Reach a decision based on evidence and ethical guidelines.

Where appropriate, the journal may notify the authors’ affiliated institutions.

6. Post-Retraction Integrity

Retractions, corrections, and expressions of concern will remain permanently part of the academic record. All notices will be openly accessible and clearly indexed to ensure transparency and accountability.
