ournal of Arabic EdTech (JAET) upholds strict standards of academic integrity and originality. The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, citation manipulation, or any form of academic misconduct. All submitted manuscripts are subject to similarity screening prior to peer review.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to: Copying text, ideas, data, or figures from other sources without proper citation. Paraphrasing substantial portions of another work without attribution. Submitting another person’s work as one’s own. Reusing significant portions of one’s previously published work without proper acknowledgment (self-plagiarism). Manipulating citations to artificially increase references. Plagiarism in any form constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

Similarity Screening

All submissions to JAET are screened using recognized plagiarism detection software prior to peer review. Manuscripts with excessive similarity, unattributed content, or inappropriate textual overlap may be: Returned to authors for clarification or revision. Rejected prior to peer review. Rejected after review if misconduct is confirmed. The journal evaluates similarity reports qualitatively, not solely based on percentage thresholds. Properly cited quotations and references are not considered plagiarism.

Acceptable Similarity Levels

As a general guideline: Similarity should not exceed a reasonable academic threshold. Significant unattributed overlap is grounds for rejection regardless of percentage score. The editorial team reserves the right to determine whether textual similarity constitutes misconduct.

Self-Plagiarism and Redundant Publication

Authors must not submit manuscripts that substantially overlap with previously published work without proper citation and justification. Duplicate publication or simultaneous submission to multiple journals is strictly prohibited.

Post-Publication Detection

If plagiarism or unethical overlap is discovered after publication, JAET will take appropriate action, which may include: Issuing corrections. Publishing expressions of concern. Retracting the article. Notifying the authors’ affiliated institutions where necessary. All corrective actions will remain permanently linked to the original article and DOI to preserve transparency in the scholarly record.

Author Responsibility

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their manuscripts. By submitting to JAET, authors confirm that: The work is original. All sources are properly cited. The manuscript complies with ethical publishing standards. Failure to comply with this policy may result in immediate rejection and possible restrictions on future submissions.
