1. General Information

Journal of Arabic EdTech (JAET) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published biannually (May and September). The journal welcomes high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of Arabic language education through educational technology, artificial intelligence, digital assessment, and innovation in learning systems. All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

2. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

JAET accepts the following types of manuscripts: Original Research Articles Experimental and Quasi-Experimental Studies Design-Based Research Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Theoretical and Conceptual Papers Technological Development Reports with Validation Psychometric Validation Studies Manuscripts must demonstrate strong theoretical grounding, methodological rigor, and clear scholarly contribution.

3. Language

All manuscripts must be written in clear and professional academic English. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to seek professional proofreading prior to submission.

4. Manuscript Preparation

4.1 Format

Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Recommended structure: Title Abstract (200–250 words) Keywords (5 keywords) Introduction Literature Review Methodology Results Discussion Conclusion Acknowledgments (if applicable) Funding Statement Conflict of Interest Statement References

4.2 Length

Research Articles: 6,000–9,000 words Review Articles: 7,000–10,000 words

The abstract must clearly state: Research purpose Methodology Key findings Main contribution

4.4 Keywords

Provide 3–6 keywords that reflect the core themes of the manuscript.

4.5 Referencing Style

JAET uses APA (7th Edition) referencing style. Authors are responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of citations. DOI numbers should be included for all references where available.

5. Figures and Tables

Figures and tables must be clearly numbered and referenced in the text. High-resolution images should be provided. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any copyrighted materials.

6. Ethical Requirements

Authors must ensure that: The manuscript is original and free from plagiarism. All authors have significantly contributed to the research. Data presented are accurate and not fabricated or manipulated. Research involving human participants includes ethical approval where required. A Conflict of Interest statement must be included.

7. Similarity Screening

All submissions undergo similarity checking using recognized plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with excessive similarity may be rejected without review.

8. Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system (Open Journal Systems – OJS). Authors must: Register an account Complete all required metadata Upload manuscript file (without author identity for double-blind review) Upload separate title page containing author information

9. Peer Review Process

JAET operates a double-blind peer review system. Initial editorial screening Review by at least two independent reviewers Revision stage (if applicable) Final editorial decision Average review time: approximately 4–8 weeks (subject to reviewer availability).

10. Article Processing Charges (APC)
