Digital Object Identifier (DOI) Assignment

Journal of Arabic EdTech (JAET) assigns a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to every article published in the journal. The DOI provides a permanent and unique alphanumeric identifier for each published work, ensuring long-term accessibility, reliable citation, and global discoverability. Each DOI is registered through an official DOI registration agency and is permanently linked to the article’s metadata and full-text version.

Purpose of DOI

The DOI system ensures: Persistent and stable access to published articles Accurate citation and reference tracking Improved visibility in indexing and abstracting databases Interoperability with digital libraries and research databases The DOI remains unchanged even if the journal website URL or hosting platform is modified.

Structure of DOI

Each published article is assigned a DOI that reflects the journal’s prefix and article-specific suffix. The DOI is displayed: On the article landing page In the PDF version of the article Within the article metadata This ensures proper citation and consistent referencing in academic publications.

Metadata Registration

JAET deposits complete and accurate metadata for each article upon DOI registration. This metadata typically includes: Article title Author names and affiliations Abstract Keywords Publication date Issue and volume information Reference list (when applicable) Accurate metadata submission enhances article discoverability and citation indexing.

DOI Persistence and Maintenance

JAET is responsible for maintaining DOI links and ensuring that all assigned DOIs resolve correctly to the official article page. In the event of website migration or structural updates, the journal will update DOI records accordingly to prevent broken links.

Version Control

If post-publication corrections, retractions, or updates are required, JAET ensures transparency through proper version control practices. Any modifications to published articles will be clearly documented and linked to the original DOI record in accordance with international publishing standards.
