Authors must include a Data Availability Statement in all submitted manuscripts. This statement must appear before the References section and clearly describe where and how the data supporting the findings can be accessed.

2. Acceptable Data Availability Options

Authors may choose one of the following options:

• Data are publicly available in an open-access repository (provide link and DOI).
• Data are available upon reasonable request from the corresponding author.
• Data are included within the article or supplementary materials.
• Data cannot be shared due to ethical, legal, or privacy restrictions (with justification).

3. Recommended Repositories

Authors are encouraged to deposit data in recognized, stable repositories that provide persistent identifiers (DOI), such as:

• Institutional repositories
• Subject-specific repositories
• General repositories that support research data archiving

Data should be deposited in formats that allow long-term accessibility and reuse.

4. Types of Data Covered

The policy applies to all research data necessary to interpret and replicate findings, including:

• Quantitative datasets
• Qualitative transcripts (where ethically permissible)
• Survey instruments
• Experimental protocols
• Analytical code or scripts (where applicable)

5. Ethical and Legal Considerations

When research involves human participants, authors must ensure compliance with ethical standards and data protection regulations. Personally identifiable information must not be disclosed.

If data sharing is restricted due to confidentiality agreements or legal constraints, authors must clearly state the reason in the Data Availability Statement.

6. Verification and Editorial Oversight

The editorial team may request access to underlying data during the review process for verification purposes. Failure to provide data when requested may result in rejection or withdrawal of the manuscript.

7. Post-Publication Transparency

JAET supports open science principles. Where appropriate, datasets should remain accessible after publication. If data availability changes, authors are encouraged to notify the journal.
