Overview

Journal of Arabic EdTech (JAET) implements a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published articles. The identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process to maintain fairness and impartiality. All manuscripts are evaluated solely on scholarly merit, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal’s aims and scope.

Review Stages

1. Initial Editorial Screening

Upon submission, the manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the editorial team to assess: Relevance to the journal’s scope Originality and academic contribution Compliance with submission guidelines Similarity screening results Ethical compliance Manuscripts that do not meet basic quality or scope requirements may be rejected at this stage.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers. The review process is double-blind, meaning: Reviewers do not know the identity of the authors. Authors do not know the identity of the reviewers. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on: Theoretical foundation Research design and methodology Data analysis and statistical reporting Clarity and coherence Significance of findings Contribution to the field

3. Editorial Decision

Based on reviewer reports, the editor may issue one of the following decisions: Accept without revision Minor revisions required Major revisions required Reject Authors receiving revision requests must respond to reviewer comments systematically and provide a detailed response letter.

4. Revision and Re-Review

Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation. Final acceptance is granted only when the manuscript satisfies scholarly and ethical standards.

Review Timeline

The average review process takes approximately 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the extent of revisions required. The journal aims to maintain an efficient and transparent review timeline while ensuring thorough evaluation.

Reviewer Selection

Reviewers are selected based on: Subject expertise Research background Publication record Absence of conflicts of interest The journal strives to ensure diversity in geographic representation and academic perspectives.

Confidentiality and Ethics

All manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, reproduce, or use unpublished materials for personal advantage. Any potential conflict of interest must be declared prior to accepting a review assignment.

Appeals and Complaints

Authors who disagree with an editorial decision may submit a formal appeal with clear justification. Appeals are reviewed independently by the editorial board. The journal is committed to fair, transparent, and accountable editorial practices.
